Punjabi Hip-Hop/Rap, R&B and Pop artist AP Dhillon, born Amritpal Dhillon, has hinted at a slight return to rap music. The hard-hitting rapper, who recently premiered his massive documentary series “AP Dhillon: First of A Kind”, dropped two new songs – “Lifestyle” and “Scars” – over the weekend which are initially featured in the Jay Ahmed-directed documentary.
While the 3-track EP pack features the previously released single “With You”, Dhillon can be heard on another Dance-influenced record “Scars”.
The track, which seems to follow the footprints of Dhillon’s incendiary dance records “Sleepless” and his unprecedented comeback track “True Stories”, arrives alongside a flagrant Hip-Hop single “Lifestyle”.
For many, “Lifestyle” could be Dhillon’s slight return to rap music. Since his most recent releases, which marked The GOAT’s abrupt departure from lethal Punjabi rap music, fans have longed for a Hip-Hop record throughout the year. Notably, his sprawling releases do not feature a guest verse by his Run-Up Records affiliate and “Hard Choices” emcee Gurinder Gill yet again.
Besides dropping the hard-hitting records for streaming, Dhillon has premiered the visual treatment for “Lifestyle” too. The music video, directed by the “Brown Munde” rapper himself, starts off with a striking message for Dhillon’s “haters”.
“Don’t Watch This Video If You’re A Hater, You’ve No Ambition Or You Spend Most Of Your Time Commenting Your Dumb Opinions Online,” Dhillon writes in the visuals. Check it out here if you haven’t yet.
