Karachi-based rising rapper and songwriter Jani, born Muhammad Ali Khan, has released his debut rap album “Lostalgia”. The 12-track Hip-Hop LP features guest verses from influential South Asian Rap and R&B artists Talhah Yunus and Hasan Raheem and receives record production from Urdu rap superproducers Umair and Jokhay.
The LP features a slew of melodic rap records including “Yard Men”, “Picture Me”, “Faded” and “Owe Me A Life”. However, Jani further drops lethal bars on Umair-produced “Back To Business” and “Pinkman” too.
Notably, “Lostalgia” is Jani’s first full-length rap record in over two years. In April 2022, the evocative emcee premiered his star-studded “Alag Lane” mixtape. Executive-produced by Karachi Hip-Hop producer superdupersultan, the LP went on to become one of the hottest full-length LP to emerge from Pakistan at the time.

Umair’s massive six-track production on Jani’s debut album arrives amidst the young producer’s work on MC Altaf & Sammohit‘s flagrant “Robin Hood” EP. Reportedly, Umair has linked up with Indian rap superproducers Stunnah Beatz, Zero Chill and Hashbass on the “Industry Galat” rappers’ 6-track project released earlier this month.
