American rapper, singer and music producer FUTURE, debuts his inaugural collection for LANVIN LAB – a sub-label of French luxury fashion house LANVIN. This extension of the brand is going to bring exclusive capsule collections to life through creative collaborations with artists from across the globe.
The Parisian brand has signed off FUTURE as creative director to kick-start this first line of ready-to-wear clothing and accessories, owing to his strong cultural influence and artistic expression that goes well beyond the realms of music.
Known for this strength and attitude, the Atlanta-born rapper has brought his love for smart layering and tailoring alive through this collection of unisex pieces. The two key elements that take centre-stage are the Eagle and the Star – to evoke a sense of courage, truth and protection. From metallic studded-jackets to typography-inspired jumpsuits, tees and more, FUTURE has gone back to LANVIN archives and recreated a modern version of fashion staples for the LAB.
“I created a vibe with this collection, something you can feel when you wear it. Jeanne Lanvin drew inspiration from her life and lifestyle. We are the same in that way, we create from experience,” FUTURE says ahead of the launch.
