Indian hip-hop’s iconic producer The Kidd has teased new music with Delhi-based Harjas Harjaayi. The announcement marks the debut collaborative effort between the two artists. Earlier today, the producer took to Instagram to reveal his latest project. The single, whose release date is yet to be announced, will feature Chandigarh-born Birmingham-based emcee Noor Tung as well.
As per many, The Kidd is the most sought-after producer in Indian hip-hop. With a massive discography which includes some of the biggest Indian hits of all time, Kidd – real name Gagandeep Singh – stands next to hip-hop production mavericks such as Byg Byrd, Snappy Beats and more. His extraordinary list of records include frequent collaborations with the late Sidhu Moosewala on ‘295’, ‘Moosedrilla’ featuring Divine, ‘Burberry’, ‘These Days’ featuring Bohemia, ‘Youngest In Charge’ and ‘Sidhu Son’. In fact, The Kidd had produced 21 records out of Moosewala’s third studio album ‘Moosetape’.

The collaborative stint with Harjas Harjaayi is the latest in The Kidd’s effort to encourage other artists while working with some of the greatest ones in the scene. Harjaayi is renowned for his slick lyricism and ghetto flow in Indian hip-hop. Most recently, Harjaayi joined forces with Raga on ‘Badan’. The hard-hitting single was released through Def Jam Recordings India.
