Mumbai’s young emcee and lyricist has dropped the visuals for his latest single ‘Platinum’. Clocking at just over four minutes, the Mr. Doss-produced record showcases Farhan Khan rejecting the frivolous applause that people have bestowed upon him because he is famous now.
Born in the gorgeous city of the Taj, Khan is an emerging hip-hop emcee from Mumbai who dons a classic discography. Backed by brash and encouraging lyricism and trend-setting underground visuals, Khan has delivered hard-hitting rap records such as ‘Godfather’ alongside Gravity & Shaikhspeare, ‘Khamoshi’, ‘Khansaab’, ‘Galat Launde’ and ‘Raza’ featuring Munawar Faruqui.
“Akele maza aata peene mei / Chupa leta dard apne seene mei / Joh dil ki sunau mai apna samajh ke yeh baatei banate hai piche se (I find joy in drinking alone / I hide the pain in my chest / If I open up thinking they’re my own people, they talk dirt behind my back)” Farhan begins rapping over the record.
