Ahead of Third Studio Album ‘This Is What I Mean’, Stormzy Links up W/ Sampha on ‘Firebabe’

London’s legendary emcee and lyricist Stormzy has released the second lead single ahead of his upcoming album ‘This is What I Mean’. Titled ‘Firebabe’, the single follows ‘Hide & Seek’ released on October 14th 2022. The latest single is a hopeless romantic ode to a woman that he doesn’t see anymore. The record is produced by George Moore and comes with visuals by British director Edem Wornoo.

With ‘Firebabe’ and ‘Hide & Seek’, Stormzy – real name Michael Ebenezer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr. – has set a distinct tone to the record which stand sout from his previous releases including the recently released ‘Mel Made Me Do It’ and ‘Vossi Bop’. Clocking in at over ten minutes in visuals, Mel Made Me Do It showcased Stormzy’s flagrant confidence and his lavish living. The visuals featured appearances by Theroux, Trevor Nelson, Malorie Blackman, Tiana Major9, Usain Bolt, Little Simz and Dave.

However, the single does not feature in Stormzy’s upcoming third studio album. The highly anticipated 12-track LP is slated to release on November 25th 2022 via 0207 Def Jam.
