Two Years Ago Today, Legendary Indian Emcee Sidhu Moose Wala Was Murdered In Punjab, Family Yet To Receive Justice

Two years ago, legendary Indian rapper & songwriter Sidhu Moose Wala was murdered in Mansa, Punjab. The revered Punjabi emcee, who was just 28 years of age at the time of his brutal killing on May 29th, 2022, is often considered one of the greatest Indian rappers to ever rise in its burgeoning rap music scene.

Across his shortlived career, Moose Wala released cult classics including the top-tier studio album “Moosetape”. The 32-track LP became the first Indian full-length album to surpass a billion streams on Spotify in December last year.

Ever since his death Moose Wala has released six massive posthumous rap records – “410” alongside Sunny Malton, “Drippy” featuring breakthrough Canadian emcee AR Paisley, “Watch Out” featuring Sikander Kahlon“Chorni” alongside Indian rap royalty Divine“Mera Na” featuring Burna Boy and “Vaar”.
