Take-off – real name Kirshnik Khari Ball – was shot dead in Houston, Texas after a gunfight ensued amidst a dice game. He was 28. The Hip-hop world across the globe was devastated upon hearing the ill-fated news and mourned the massive loss to the modern artform.
Yesterday, Take-off was laid to rest during a star-studded funeral ceremony at State Farm Arena, Atlanta. The funeral was attended by former Migos’ members Offset & Quavo and Cardi B, Atlanta’s Mayor Andre Dickens, Gucci Mane, Cee-Lo Green, City Girls, Russell Simons, Lil Yachty and Justin Bieber among others.
While there was a “strict no photo and no video policy” inside of the venue, one of the guests managed to film some bits from the funeral. The videos have surfaced online.
The clips show Drake and Offset – who earlier announced that his upcoming album is delayed amid his cousin's passing away
– giving Take-off his flowers and remembering the late young rapper. Watch them below.
Rest in Peace, Take-off.
