Chicago’s infamous emcee, record producer and songwriter Ye, formerly Kanye West, has announced his abrupt retirement from rap music.

The legendary “Carnival” rapper, who is gearing up for his forthcoming joint LP “Vultures 2” with Ty Dolla $ign, made the disruptive announcement through a brief text exchange with “Gimme A Second” emcee Rich The Kid.

Notably, the announcement arrives just ahead of West & Dolla $ign performing their independent rap album “Vultures” in South Korea. West is yet to comment on whether the debut performance and the sequel to Vultures will now take place amidst retirement.

Both the releases drop this Friday.
