Mac Miller’s estate has released the lead single from the late American rapper’s forthcoming posthumous album “Balloonerism”. Titled “5 Dollar Pony Rides”, the track is produced by Thundercat, Ronald Bruner Jr. and Miller himself under his producer pseudonym Larry Fisherman.

Notably, “5 Dollar Pony Rides” was recorded in 2014 alongside the “Self-Care” emcee’s 11th mixtape “Faces” and arrives in support of “Ballonerism” recorded and produced by Miller during the same time as well. The track discusses complex distant relationships and Miller’s struggles with addressing the underlying issues.

Besides “5 Dollar Pony Rides”, the upcoming posthumous LP features 13 new songs including “DJ’s Chord Organ” with SZA, “Do You Have a Destination?”, “Shangri-La”, “Rick’s Piano”, “Friendly Hallucinations”.

“The project showcases both the breadth of his musical talent and fearlessness as an artist,” Mac Miller’s estate said about the LP in a statement.
