Indian Hip-Hop and R&B superstar King’s records were listened to over 300 million times on Spotify this year. The iconic ‘Pablo’ emcee and lyricist took to Instagram to reveal his Spotify Wrapped 2022.
In an Instagram post, King confirmed that excluding his third studio album ‘Champagne Talk’, he amassed a massive total of 221 Million streams on Spotify and stood at over 18 million monthly Spotify listeners. However, the numbers excluded ‘Champagne Talk’ which was released on October 12th 2022.
King started out with just 4.8 million streams in 2020. The number rose up manifolds to 78.8 million last year. However, King outpaced himself this year and surpassed over 300 million streams with ‘Champagne Talk’ amassing over 100 million streams within just two months of its release. ‘Maan Meri Jaan’ and ‘Oops’ sit at over 72 million streams alone.
However, ‘Champagne Talk’ isn’t the only album by the Delhi-based artist which has surpassed 100 million Spotify streams. King released his debut album ‘The Carnival’ on September 21st 2020. The eight-track record featured ‘Tu Aake Dekhle’ – his biggest R&B Pop hit of all time. The track sits at over 180 million streams on Spotify alone.
