Indian Hip-Hop and R&B superstar King is gearing up to shut down Dubai just a few hours ahead of 2023. After announcing the ‘King Champagne Talk After Party India Tour’ in mid-September, the Delhi-bred rapper has been performing massive live sets throughout the country. However, this would be King’s live debut outside India and given his massive popularity and stardom, his listeners have flocked to social media ever since the announcement.
Notably, before King performs in the Middle Eastern city on December 31st 2022, the ‘Pablo’ emcee is slated to perform in Kolkata (December 23rd), Guwahati (December 24th), Surat (December 25th) and Goa (December 29th).
It has been a quite busy year for King. Earlier this year, the solo hitmaker dropped his third studio album and the follow-up to ‘The Gorilla Bounce’ on October 12th 2022. Titled ‘Champagne Talk’, the record has already become one of the biggest hits this year without any features. The 8-track album made massive waves last month when it entered Spotify’s Top Albums Debut Global List – the only Indian album to do so.
Ever since then, the Delhi-based rapper has been ruling charts and breaking numbers every once in a while. While the fourth track from his latest album – ‘Maan Meri Jaan’ – stays solid at the Billboard Top 200 Excl U.S. Chart, the album pushed King’s Spotify numbers to over 300 million this year. With ‘Maan Meri Jaan’, Delhi-bred emcee and lyricist King further entered Spotify’s Top 50 Global Chart. Notably, this is the first non-film record to accomplish this feat.
Look out for King in Dubai on December 31st 2022.
