Frankfurt-born legendary emcee, lyricist and record producer J. Cole might be on his way to releasing the follow-up to his sixth studio album The Off-Season. Earlier today, Jermaine Cole cleared his Instagram and fans have begun speculating whether a new album is on the boards by the prolific ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive’ rapper. Notably, the news arrives within hours after our publication speculated ten top-tier rap releases in 2023.
Reportedly, the new seventh album will be called It’s A Boy and will precede The Fall Off – another LP confirmed by J. Cole as part of the “The Fall Off Era”. Last year, the Dreamville bossman had shared what seemed to be a blueprint for a slew of projects underway for release. The Off Season, as per J. Cole, was the beginning of the “era”.
