Punjabi Hip-Hop’s young pioneer GD 47, born Gagandeep Singh, has just released his latest hard-hitting single. Titled “Mic Naal”, the track is produced by GD himself and features a guest verse by H$. Notably, this is GD’s sophomore solo effort with India’s coveted rap label Def Jam Recordings India.
The “In My Zone” emcee introduces Punjab’s underground emcee H$ through this rap record. H$ drops an affecting guest verse on GD’s latest single and has certainly made a massive breakthrough early on in his career. In January this year, the young rapper from Punjab debuted with the ‘Different’ single which perhaps caught GD’s attention at the time.

GD 47’s incendiary single “Mic Naal” arrives alongside epic visuals. Directed by Punjabi music’s leading filmmaker Nav Dhiman, the provocative visual treatment captures 47’s lyrical prowess and tall stature in Indian rap music with ease. Notably, Dhiman’s visual discography consists of iconic music videos in Punjabi rap including “Levels” by the late Sidhu Moose Wala and Sunny Malton.
