Days after the legendary rapper and record producer Logic parted ways with at least 185 titles, North Dakota’s hard-hitting emcee and music business mogul Wiz Khalifa has sold a portion of his music and publishing catalogue too.
The Taylor Gang affiliate, who recently released his massive 25-track commercial mixtape “See Ya”, has reportedly sold numerous titles including “Black & Yellow” and “See You Again” to HarbourView Equity Partners for an “undisclosed” amount.
“We are excited to partner with them as they continue to build a dynamic media company that is in line with the values and goals we all have here at Taylor Gang,” Khalifa said in a press release.
“Wiz Khalifa has already made a profound impact on culture as a musician, executive, media visionary and creative force.” Clark Soares, the founder and CEO of HarbourView said further about the catalogue acquisition. “We celebrate his talent and creativity and are thrilled to welcome him and Taylor Gang to the HarbourView family today.”
Notably, Khalifa’s catalogue sale arrives amidst a slew of Hip-Hop superstars parting ways with their rap catalogues.
Earlier this month, Logic parted ways with a massive portion of his catalogue too. It was preceded by Hip-Hop superproducer Metro Boomin selling a “massive portion” of his “entire music catalogue” for roughly above $70 million in March.
