Indian Hip-Hop and Pop superstar King, real name Arpan Kumar Chandel, has just released an affecting Pop EP. Titled “Shayad Woh Sune”, the EP features three new records – “Laapta”, “Humse” and “Teri Ho Na Saki”. The record arrives within a day after King announced the “Extended Playlist” project on social media.
While ‘Pablo’ fell short of revealing any further details about his album at the time, he asserted that his next record will feature at least “3 songs in Billboard’s International Charts, 22-25 million listeners on Spotify, 8-12 million YouTube subscribers and 4 songs in Top 10”.
Earlier this year, King’s studio album “Champagne Talk” surpassed over a billion streams across digital platforms.
Besides releasing the EP, King has premiered hard-hitting visuals for “Laapata” – the first record on the project. Interestingly, the record, produced by Bharg Kale, is penned down by King with assistance from MC Heam. King will drop the “Hum Tummse” music video earlier today too.
After London, the emcee will head towards Birmingham, New York, Toronto, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta, Vancouver and Edmonton before closing his extraordinary tour schedule in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
However, this isn’t the first time that King will be heading overseas for live sets. Earlier this year, King performed alongside Indian Hip-Hop royalty Divine, Karachi’s Young Stunners and global rap pioneers Travis Scott and Lil Uzi Vert at the Wireless Festival in Abu Dhabi.
