Marquee British emcee Little Simz, born Simbiatu “Simbi” Abisola Abiola Ajikawo, has released her first EP in 4 years. Titled “Drop 7”, the EP traverses seven flagrant Grime & London Rap records and marks her 11th such effort.

Executive-produced by British rap superproducer James Edward Jacob, stage name Jakwob, the EP is home to various flagrant song titles including “Mood Swings”, “Fever”, “Torch”, “SOS”, “I Ain’t Feelin It”, “Power” and “Far Away”.

Notably, the EP serves as the follow-up to Simz’s iconic 5th studio album “No Thank You” and features incendiary verses by the “Venom” rapper.

“Got the power in my hands, now I can feel it
If you’re lookin’ for the truth, then m———–, I’m the realest
See them bitin’ what I’m on so do not ask me if I piqued here
If I said that I’m the greatest then I mean it, mean it (Yeah)
I’ve been buildin’ a new mansion up on Venus
Long time comin’ for this s—, now we lit
They gon’ have to mention all the crazy s– we did (Hey)
Let the verse play, don’t wheel it (No, no)
No, they never understandin’ how I do this
With my words like butter, m———–, I’m the smoothest
Gotta keep my circle tight, I’m only rollin’ with the fewest,”
Simz raps on “Power” – the 6th track on the EP at just short of a minute.

Just ahead of releasing “Drop 7”, Simz shared the exclusive EP tracklist & preview with her fans via Meta. Check it out below.

Simz’s fierce EP arrives just ahead of the British Phonographic Industry Awards, or the BRITs.

Reportedly, Simz is nominated for “Best Hip-Hop/Grime/Rap Act” and “Album of The Year” at this year’s BRITs alongside a slew of British and American emcees including Central CeeJ Hus, Dave, Burna Boy, Doja Cat, Headie One & K-Trap and more.

In other news, British emcee Fredo has been sentenced to 5 years in Dubai prison for “drug possession”. The concerning incident arrives ahead of the British rapper’s forthcoming rap record “Attached” with legendary slain rapper Sidhu Moose Wala and superproducer Steel Banglez.
