Global Hip-Hop superstar Nicki Minaj, born Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, has finally announced her fifth album. The album, which serves as the follow-up to the Trinidadian emcee’s hard-hitting “Queen” LP, is slated to arrive on October 20 2023.
Notably, this is Minaj’s first full-length rap record in five years. Her last album, home to iconic female rap records “Chun-Li”, “Good Form”, “Thought I Knew You”, “Coco Chanel” and more, featured guest verses by numerous Hip-Hop heavyweights including Lil Wayne, ATL’s trap and Hip-Hop pioneer Future, Swae Lee, Foxy Brown, Eminem & more.
Minaj took to Twitter to reveal the release date of her highly anticipated album.
While the “Fractions” emcee fell short of revealing any further details about her upcoming album, this has stirred far-reaching conversations on social media. Her fans, who refer to themselves as “Barbz”, have stormed Twitter and Instagram to celebrate a towering emcee’s return amidst a critical emergence of women rappers across the globe.
Most recently, Minaj linked up with Brooklyn Drill rapper Ice Spice on the “Princess Diana” remix and dropped the Go Grizzly-produced “Red Ruby Da Sleaze”.
Look out for Minaj’s fifth studio album this October.
