Legendary Mumbai-based emcee and songwriter Loka, born Lok Bista, has just announced the lead single from his forthcoming debut album.
Reportedly, the lead single “Arthur Road” from the rap icon’s allegedly titled LP “Loka Kahan Hai” is slated to arrive on September 29th.
Produced by rising record producer Baby Wxve, “Arthur Road” arrives amidst crucial times in Loka’s sprawling rap career.
The young emcee, who was incarcerated and later released in a controversial drug smuggling trial earlier this year, is yet to speak publicly about the infamous and perhaps the testing times that he went through while serving prison.
Alongside the exclusive “Arthur Road” artwork, Loka left an affecting message for his fans. “This Friday listen to my side of the story!,” Loka wrote on Instagram. Perhaps, Loka will reflect on serving time in Mumbai’s appalling prisons and its impact on him with his fans via the record.

In March this year, Loka premiered the cathartic rap single “Burey Din” from prison. Whether that record will feature on Loka’s forthcoming LP is yet to be confirmed by the “Third Wave” emcee.
