Amidst high anticipation for the forthcoming “Music” LP, Hip-Hop superstar and mogul Playboi Carti, born Jordan Terrell Carter, has finally released his first rap record, and perhaps the lead single, “Different Day”.

The single, Carti’s first solo rap record in nearly three years, was first posted on the rapper’s record label “Opium” Instagram account and is produced by frequent collaborators and record producers KP Beatz, Ambezza and producer duo OUTOFAIR.

Notably, “Different Day” arrived within hours after American rap podcaster Livingston Allen, known as DJ Akademiks, confirmed that the “FE!N” rapper’s LP is finally on its way in January and stirred massive conversations on social media. The speculation was further fueled by Pharrell Williams via X.

“Different Day” arrives alongside a provocative visual cut as an Instagram exclusive.

The flagrant music video, yet to surface on streaming platforms, was reportedly directed & filmed within 24 hours before its release and captures Carti rapping next to a Lamborghini Urus.

Listen to “Different Day” and watch its hard-hitting visual cut below.

Earlier this year, rap superstar Drake premiered the evocative “8 AM In Charlotte” visual cut exclusively on Instagram. The visual treatment, which further featured his son Adonis, arrived just hours ahead of his 8th studio album “For All The Dogs”.

As per Genius, “Different Day” is slated to join at least 9 unreleased rap records including “Problem Child” featuring Travis Scott, “Ménage” featuring Lil Uzi Vert, “Different Vibes” & more. However, Carti is yet to release any further details about his album.

Look out for the “MUSIC” LP by Plaboi Carti in January.
