Indian rap pioneer and former Mafia Mundeer affiliate Raftaar has premiered a new track. Released via Instagram, the brief cut remixes breakthrough Delhi-bred emcee DRV‘s latest rap record “Party Mei Aa”.
Originally released as part of the “Multani Mitti” rapper’s massive studio album “Polaris”, the disruptive “RAA-mix” arrives after the “War Cry” mogul took recognition of the feature-stacked LP by DRV and gave him his flowers.
“This RAA-MIX is a gift to your hardwork. Keep bringing these bangers. You the shiiiiiiiiiii,” Raftaar shared via IG alongside the unprecedented remix.
The flagrant remix serves as a crucial support to DRV’s 13-track album too.
Besides enlisting the revered Kalamkaar frontman on the brief remix, “Polaris” is home to incendiary guest verses by Bombay rapper Loka, Yung Sammy, Boyblanck, Bombay The Artist, “Keh Do Ki Yeh Jhooth Hai” rapper Dhanji, Shah Rule and Flyboy S.
The LP further features Filmfare awardee Boman Irani, Pakistani singer Annural Khalid and Nanku on “Self Made” and “Raat Khatam”.
For Raftaar, the hard-hitting remix arrives within days after the lethal “Woh Raat” rapper premiered the “Hard Drive” EP sequel.
Titled “Hard Drive, Vol. 2”, the 9-track top shotta features guest verses by rap pioneer Badshah, Ikka, former labelmate Karma, Sikander Kahlon, EPR Iyer and Yashraj. The top-tier sequel is produced by Deep Kalsi, Sez On The Beat and Phenom.
Through the EP, Raftaar pays homage to legendary emcee DMX, Eminem, The Game, Lupe Fiasco and Bohemia.
