Houston’s legendary emcee, record producer and songwriter Travis Scott, Jacques Berman Webster II, is gearing up for his first release in almost two years.
The hard-hitting emcee, who released incendiary rap records “Escape Plan” and “Mafia” in November 2021, has finally announced the lead single to his forthcoming fourth rap album “Utopia”.
Titled “Kpop”, the single is slated to feature Latin rap pioneer Bad Bunny and Toronto’s pop superstar The Weeknd. Notably, the rap record is produced by American Hip-Hop superproducers BNYX, Boi-1da, Jahaan Sweet & lllangelo.
As per Scott, the single is slated to drop on July 21st 2023.
Travis Scott’s “Kpop” announcement arrives amidst soaring anticipation for “Utopia”.
While the iconic “Astroworld” emcee is gearing up for the historic premiere of his forthcoming LP at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt, the Egyptian Syndicate of Musical Professions, Cairo’s crucial public authority overseeing the issuing of permits for concerts, revealed on Tuesday that Scott’s “Utopia” premiere may not happen at all.
However, Travis Scott’s reps and Live Nation have asserted that the Egyptian premiere is still happening. “There have been no changes to Travis Scott’s show in Egypt; any reports to the contrary are false,” the promoter shared in its own statement. We can’t wait to celebrate ‘Utopia’ with you in Egypt!” Live Nation asserted in a statement,” Live Nation said in a statement.
Look out for “Kpop” by Travis Scott featuring Bad Bunny & The Weeknd this Friday.
