Champagne Papi – popularly known as Drake – has joined Jay-Z for a rare accomplishment in Hip-Hop. With ‘Her Loss’ – his latest collaborative effort with 21 Savage – the Toronto-bred rapper has tied with Hov for the most no. 1’s on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums with 14 such entries.

Drake’s major label debut album Thank Me Later, released on June 15th 2010, was also his first to go no. 1 on the coveted Billboard chart. It was the third LP Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life for Jay-Z which went no. 1.

However, the 14-for-14 Billboard record includes collaborative efforts by the two iconic emcees too. ‘Everything is Love’ by Jay-Z & Beyonce and ‘Her Loss’ by Drake & 21 Savage debuted at the top-spot on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop albums.

Hov & Drizzy have been frequent collaborators in the past. One of the earliest collaborative efforts between the two emcees was when Drake featured on Off That – the eighth track on Jay-Z’s eleventh LP ‘The Blueprint 3’. Other notable collabs include ‘Light Up’ on Thank Me Later, ‘Pound Cake/Paris Morton Music’ on Drake’s Nothing Was The Same, ‘Love All’ on Certified Lover Boy, ‘Talk Up’ on Scorpion and ‘Know About Me’ by Timbaland f/ Jay-Z, Drake and James Fauntleroy.
