Indian Hip-Hop pioneer and Bantai Records’ bossman Emiway Bantai, real name Bilal Shaikh, has finally premiered “The Indian Hip-Hop Cypher” featuring the entire roster of artists associated with the highly coveted rap record label. Produced by Refix, Memax & Tony James, the massive cypher features a slew of verses by Shez, Young Galib, Flowbo, Hitzone, Hellac, Jaxk and Minta.

Notably, “The Indian Hip-Hop Cypher” arrives after over two years. In March 2021, Bantai linked up with Mumbai’s influential rap crew Dopadelicz featuring Tony Sebastian, or Stony Psyko, and Rajesh Radhakrishnan, or the DopeDaddy.

While that cypher featured verses by Dopadelicz, Minta, Meme Machine, Hellac and Bantai himself, the latest Bantai Records’ cypher involves more young emcees signed to the record label since then.

Interestingly, Bantai announced the cypher amidst MC Stan’s swift return to rap music. On 30 August, the “King of the Streets” rapper’s announcement coincided with the release of Stan’s hard-hitting rap record “Nusta Paisa”.

The Indian Hip-Hop cypher arrives amidst unprecedented anticipation for Bantai’s joint EP with Detroit rapper and record producer Lazarus. Titled “Detroit To Antop Hill”, the EP will feature guest verses by other Detroit-based emcees Swifty McVay and “Bad Meets Evil” affiliate Royce Da 5’9″.

Most recently, the Bantai Records label boss premiered his major label debut “Kudi”. The rather commercial track was preceded by the rapper’s massive 17-track Indian rap classic “King of The Streets”.
