Emiway Bantai has released the visuals for ‘King of the Streets’ or ‘KOTS’. The Bengaluru-born emcee and lyricist announced the single earlier this week. Clocking at exact two minutes, the single marks Emiway’s abrupt departure from hard-hitting drill music and showcases the prolific emcee next to a billboard with his live set poster in Mumbai. The visuals are directed by Emiway himself. Check it below.
Released at midnight, the track arrives just in time for his 27th birthday. Bantai is one of the biggest Indian rappers who rose to prominence after getting involved in a diss with Raftaar – another emcee associated with Kalamkaar. Since then, Bantai has released massive bangers including the recently released ‘Guess’, ‘Firse Machayenge’, ‘Kr L$da Sign’ and more.
Earlier this month, Bantai had announced his upcoming collaborative effort with Lazarus which featured Detroit’s iconic rapper (and one half of ‘Bad Meets Evil’ with Eminem) Royce Da 5’9″. The project is highly anticipated by Indian hip-hop listeners and is projected to drop next year.
