Atlanta’s legendary emcee Future and record producer Metro Boomin have seemingly teased an upcoming collaborative effort. While Boomin crashed Future’s live set in ATL over the weekend, ‘Future Pendergrass’ teased a new “album of the year” with Metro Boomin after his performance alongside another Hip-Hop superstar from his city Lil Baby.
On October 13th 2014, Future & Metro Boomin linked up to release the former’s thirteenth mixtape. Titled ‘Monster’, the LP includes some of Future’s top-selling rap records including ‘F*** Up Some Commas’, ‘After That’ feat. Lil Wayne and ‘2 Pac’ and was executive produced by Boomin who was then associated with Future’s very own Freebandz Entertainment Group. Fans speculate that a follow-up to the Monster mixtape just might be around the corner.
The news arrives in just over a month after the iconic ‘Ric Flair Drip’ record producer released his highly anticipated sophomore solo LP ‘Heroes & Villains’. The fifteen-track record features guest appearances by John Legend, Chris Brown, Travis Scott, Don Toliver, 21 Savage, Young Nudy, The Weeknd, A$ap Rocky, Takeoff, Gunna and Future himself.
While the two artists are yet to officially confirm whether a new rap project is on the way, fans have begun to speculate and assert that a collaborative effort between Boomin and Future is in the works.
