Earlier this morning, the 66th Recording Academy Awards, or the GRAMMY Awards, went down at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The historic ceremony, which witnessed a slew of performances by global music icons including “FE!N” rappers Travis Scott and Playboi Carti, Dancehall & Afrorap superstar Burna Boy, Top Dawg Entertainment’s marquee R&B singer SZA, Dua Lipa, Billie Eilish and more, celebrated and honoured numerous artists across genres and mediums.
Across 94 notable categories, including three new categories – “Best African Musical Performance”, “Best Alternative Jazz Album” and “Best Pop Dance Recordings”, various artists were conferred with the GRAMMY during the ceremony with the Rocnation CEO Jay-Z taking home his 24th such recognition. The legendary emcee was awarded the Dr. Dre Global Impact Award this year.
