The Bronx, New York’s influential young emcee Ice Spice and Hip-Hop superstar Nicki Minaj have linked up on the “Princess Diana” Remix. Originally released as part of Spice’s debut breakthrough EP “Like…?”, the remix arrives amidst high anticipation for a joint effort between Spice and Minaj.
In March last year, Minaj joined a slew of artists including Cardi B, Meek Mill and Drake and praised the young emcee’s hard-hitting rap music. Minaj went even further and gave Spice her flowers after the Bronx native was featured on the Dazed magazine cover last month.
“I, I, I be eatin’ my spinach, they tried to clone my image
They burned, they London Bridges, none of them bitches British
I know they know the difference
And I just fell in love with a gangsta
So I hold him down like an anchor
He said if I keep it a hundred
That he’ll keep me safe like a banker
Nowadays, I be makin’ ’em famous
She the princess, so f*** who you lames is?
Of course, I be pushin’ they buttons
I hold the control like the gamers
Like grrah, keep it a stack
Bitches is ass if we keepin it crack
Bad little redhead, she ’bout to black,” Spice & Minaj exchange bars on the RIOTUSUA-produced record.
Spice’s debut single “munch (feelin’ u)” elevated her stature in global Hip-Hop and drill at an unprecedented scale and turned her into an overnight superstar. After the record’s massive recognition, the 23-year-old emcee went on to drop her debut EP to far-reaching commercial success.
Titled “Like…?”, the six-track EP features just one guest appearance by Lil Tjay on “Gangsta Boo” and includes her breakthrough single “munch (feelin’ u). Executive Produced by RIOTUSUA, the latest EP features a slew of new rap records including “Princess Diana”, “Actin A Smoochie” besides “Bikini Bottom” released in October.
