Ikka – the rapper and lyricist behind some of the most impactful records in Indian hip-hop including ‘Trap Munde’, ‘Level Up’ and more – previewed a new single with Dino James on MTV Hustle. While attending the finale of India’s leading hip-hop show, Ikka performed the track next to the ‘Chosen’ rapper and Hustle’s squad boss Dino James.
The announcement marks the debut collaborative effort between the two veteran emcees. While the two artists have delivered hard-hitting bangers over the years, they’ll be coming together for a record for the first time amidst a sucessful career run and a massive rap discography. The preview showcases Ikka’s abrupt departure from brash and raw hip-hop sounds visible in records such as his recently released studio album ‘Nishu’.
The single will be released through Def Jam Recordings India.

At first listen, the preview is reminiscent of Bad Bunny’s Spanish Blues & Hip-Hop sounds and feels surreal. Notably, earlier this year, Dino James released ‘Pyaar Pyaar’ from his debut studio album and set the tone for expressing romanticism through Hip-hop in the scene. To have an artist of Dino’s stature on the track next to the iconic Ikka has raised anticipation across Indian rap listeners.
