Indian Hip-Hop’s legendary cult figures Divine and Sidhu Moose Wala have finally premiered the visuals to their sophomore collaborative effort “Chorni”. Directed by Punjabi rap’s iconic filmmaker Navkaran Brar, the visuals serve as an affecting tribute to Moosa who was shot dead in Mansa, Punjab last year.
Notably, Navkaran Brar filmed the hard-hitting “Mera Na” visual treatment too. Produced by Steel Banglez, the sprawling single was Moosa’s debut collaborative effort with Afro-rap superstar Burna Boy.
After Moosa’s death, numerous rap emcees and record producers have released rap records with PBX1‘s incendiary posthumous verses or have plans to do so. His latest single “Chorni” is produced by Drugs Beats and Mex Menny.
Interestingly, the current chief editor of rap’s leading news portal HipHopnmore.com and Recording Academy/GRAMMY’s influential member Navjosh Singh is credited as a producer on the record as well.
Reportedly, the record samples late Indian pop singer Lata Mangeshkar‘s hit record “Chorni Hu Main” from the 1982 Bollywood film “Chorni”.
