American rapper & entrepreneur J. Cole, born Jermaine Lamarr Cole, has spoken up about raising the white flag during Kendrick Lamar & Drake’s infamous beef this summer.
The flagrant “Ruby Rosary” emcee, who backed out of the lethal rap feud within days after releasing “7 Minute Drill” diss against K-Dot, has now addressed his reasons for doing so on “Port Antonio” single.
“I pulled the plug because I seen where that was about to go, they wanted blood, they wanted clicks to make they pockets grow/Wouldn’t have lost the battle, dog, I would’ve lost a bro, I would’ve gained a foe, and all for what?” Cole raps on the top-tier record released via Instagram.
Notably, Cole further urges Drizzy, who dissed him on the “Push Ups” single after the Dreamville rapper backed out from the feud, to stop listening to the “media narratives” and get back on the mic.
“Aye Drake, you’ll always be my n—-, I ain’t ashamed to say you did a lot for me, my n—-/F— all the narratives, tapping back into your magic pen is what’s imperative,” Cole raps.

Besides releasing the “might delete later” mixtape and “Port Antonio” single, Cole is further gearing up for “The Fall Off” LP.
Earlier this summer, the “Red Leather” rapper released an untitled single teasing the forthcoming project. The incendiary record, which later featured on Cole’s mixtape as “Crocodile Tearz”, arrived as part of the Cole World Entertainment vlog series in which the rapper compared his long-awaited LP to “Reasonable Doubt” by Jay-Z.
