Two weeks after Pulitzer Prize winning rapper and songwriter Kendrick Lamar dissed Drake & J. Cole on Metro Boomin & Future‘s top-charting collaborative album “We Don’t Trust You”, the Grammy-winning Frankfurt-born emcee has finally responded.
Earlier this morning, the iconic “First Person Shooter” rapper, who has been touring with the “Evil Ways” emcee Drake, released his 7th studio album “Might Delete Later” and dissed Lamar back on “7 minute drill”.
Responding to Lamar’s fierce comments – “Motherf— the big 3, n—- it’s just big me, n—- bum” – on “Like That” from Boomin’s trailblazing rap album, Cole has asserted that K-Dot has rather fell off and his recent discography hasn’t been as impactful.
“I got a phone call that said somebody was dissing,
He fell off like the Simpsons,
Your first sh*t was classic, your last sh*t was tragic,
Your 2nd sh*t put ***** to sleep but they gassed it,
Your 3rd sh*t was massive hit that was your prime
I was trailing right behind but I just now hit mine,” Cole raps on “7 Minute Drill” produced by Conductor Williams & T-Minus.
Besides responding to Lamar, Cole has dissed the Recording Academy, or the Grammys too. “F— the Grammys ’cause them crackers ain’t did nothing for me,” Cole raps.
Recently, legendary emcee Jay-Z and Drake dissed the Grammy Awards too. Read everything about the flagrant comments by Hov and Drake.
Further, “7 Minute Drill” is the closure track on Cole’s surprise mixtape “might delete later”.
Traversing 12 rap records, Cole’s 7th LP features Ari Lennox, Young Duo and Gucci Mane on “Pricey”, Cam’ron o “Ready ’24”, Top Dawg Entertainment’s marquee rapper Ab-Soul and underground emcee Daylyt on “Pi” and breakthrough British rapper Central Cee and Bas on “H.Y.B.”
Besides the feature stacked rap records, “Might Delete Later” is further home to “Crocodile Tearz” – originally previewed in the “might delete later” vlog by Cole in February. At the time, the single was presumed to be a part of his forthcoming studio album “The Fall Off”.

Amidst the heated exchange between Cole & Lamar, Drake is yet to respond.
Notably, Cole’s 7th studio album arrives just a week ahead of Boomin & Future’s forthcoming album “We Still Don’t Trust You”.
As per the top-tier superproducer, the album will serve as the “We Don’t Trust You” sequel and will mark his third full-length effort with Future – the first being the “Monster” mixtape released nearly 10 years ago.
Earlier today, Boomin & Future released the massive “We Still Don’t Trust You” trailer. Watch it below if you haven’t yet.
