New York’s legendary Hip-Hop producer JPEGMAFIA and Detroit’s influential emcee Danny Brown have linked up on a follow-up EP to their 14-track collaborative effort “Scaring The Hoes”. Produced by JPEGMAFIA and Brown themselves, the “Scaring The Hoes: DLC Pack” EP features four additional alternative rap records.
The EP, which furthers MAFIA & Brown’s sprawling rap record, consists of “Guess What B—-, We Back H–“, “HERMANOS”, “Tell Me Where To Go” and “NO! NO! NO! NO!…” and arrives out of nowhere.
Notably, this is Brown’s first rap record since releasing the joint album with JPEGMAFIA. After the two influential Hip-Hop artists dropped the album, Brown immediately went into rehab following his struggles with alcohol and drug abuse.
Last month, Brown shared his personal experiences with rehabilitation and how it “humbled” him.
“You know, just showed a lot of gratitude man, for…like I got a cool-ass life, man, you know what I’m saying? Like, ’cause you know you hear other muthaf**kas’ stories. Like a lot of these muthaf**kas, man, that’s in there, you know, they had drinking problems, drug problems and all that s**t, they got to go back to work,” Brown said during his podcast The Danny Brown Show.
“They gotta go and work a real regular 9-to-5 job, like, you know, I have one of the best jobs in the f**king world, man. And so, I was taking a lot of s**t for granted, man. So I will say, man, like, I’m back. Your boy is back!” he further said.
As reported earlier, JPEGMAFIA & Danny Brown dropped the “Scaring The Hoes” LP on March 27th, 2023.
The flagrant rap LP is a riveting commentary on sex, intoxication and rehab and addresses digital cultures – cryptocurrency, social media and body image. For JPEGMAFIA, the album served as the follow-up to his 2021 LP “LP!” while for Brown, “Scaring The Hoes” was his first full-length project since 2019’s ‘uknowwhatimsaying¿’ LP featuring Run The Jewels, Blood Orange and JPEGMAFIA himself.
