Ever since MC Stan made an appearance on the highly coveted and controversial Indian reality TV show ‘Bigg Boss’, the Indian rap community has pushed Stan’s chances of winning the show on numerous occasions. However, as the wildly popular TV show reaches its conclusion, Indian Hip-Hop superstars have united as part of an unprecedented social media campaign for MC Stan’s win this season.
MC Stan – real name Altaf Shaikh – entered the Bigg Boss House in October last year and outperformed his competition during the show. Interestingly, the Hip-Hop community often came together to protect Stan from being voted out and evicted from the Bigg Boss residency in Mumbai.
As the voting lines open for the final leg of the show, several Indian rap superstars have appealed to their fans on social media to vote for the Pune-bred rapper. Some of the notable figures include Karan Aujla, Emiway Bantai, Delhi’s underground rap moguls Prabhdeep and Rawal, Seedhe Maut, King, Ikka, Raftaar, Sukhe Musical Doctorz and more.
MC Stan’s appearance in Bigg Boss is considered as a fine move for the growth of Indian rap. Ever since he entered the Bigg Boss residence, his Instagram account has seen a massive uptick of over 5.5 Million followers.
Earlier this year, Seedhe Maut & Ikka pulled up at the show for a hard-hitting live set alongside MC Stan. During the performance, MC Stan got into his element in front of an exclusive live audience and millions of those watching at home. While the full performance is yet to be released, fans took to Instagram to share a slew of previews and cropped snippets from their performance.
