Some of the leading Hip-Hop stars from the North are gearing up for a live set in Delhi tonight. Slated to go down at New Delhi’s DLF Avenue, a slew of young emcees and record producers including Revo Lekhak, Karun, Foosie Gang, Nanku & Pho will come together under the ’70 MM’ banner.
The emcees are noted for their hard-hitting underground rap records and have established their stature as one of the most influential artists from Northern India. Check out the details here.
Notably, Karun has risen to prominence with his close association with Yo Yo Honey Singh – one of the founding fathers of Hip-Hop in India. Dehradun-born emcee Revo Lekhak is often considered the defining voice in Indian rap in the coming years. Lekhak recently released his debut EP ‘A-Teen’ featuring guest appearances from Abhijay Sharm and team Evolution’s bossman Dakait.
Last year, Foosie Gang released their debut EP ‘Foosie Tape Vol. 1’. The four-track project has been listened to over half a million times on Spotify alone. Further, Delhi-based female emcee and singer Pho is slated to join the emcees for a live set. Her discography includes the influential underground rock and pop-inspired EP ‘Bheetar Bahar’ and a slew of singles including ‘Nazuk’, ‘Moderately Sad Music’ and more.
