Maryland’s iconic emcee, record producer and songwriter Logic, born Robert Bryson Hall II, has confirmed his ‘official’ association with C Dot Castro. The rapper, who recently released his debut independent LP “College Park”, confirmed the formation of “HalfBREED” rap group spearheaded by Castro and himself. Further, the ‘Wu-Tang Forever’ emcee announced the group’s debut EP slated to release tonight.
Logic took to Instagram to reveal the formation of “Half Breed” and confirmed their debut EP in the works. “Me and my brother @cdotcastro301 have officially formed a rap group called @halfbreed301 and are releasing an EP Monday the 10th at 9pm pst. Love to the fans y’all! #RattPack #halfBREED,” Logic wrote.
For Logic, this will be his debut multi-track effort with Castro and his sophomore independent project. Following a ten-year stint with Def Jam Recordings, Logic released his eighth LP “College Park” on February 23rd 2023. Featuring guest verses and productions by RZA, Redman, Statik Selektah, Joey Bada$$ and more, the LP was Logic’s first independent album. Over the years, Logic linked up with Def Jam Recordings for seven iconic rap LPs including the “Under Pressure” and “YSIV” LPs.
