Metro Boomin Drops ‘Knife Talk’ Original Version f/ Drake & 21 Savage

Just a day after Drake’s unreleased verse on Metro Boomin’s record ‘Trance’ surfaced online, the legendary ATL record producer has shared the original version of ‘Knife Talk’ which features Drake and a new 21 Savage verse. While the track was featured on Champagne Papi’s sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy at number thirteen on the tracklist at the time and featured Project Pat, Boomin has revealed that the track didn’t include a Drake verse at all at the time.

As per Boomin, the record originally included a solo guest appearance from 21 Savage. Titled ‘Gang S***’, the track was scheduled to be a part of his collaborative effort with 21 Savage ‘Savage Mode’. Check out the original version of ‘Knife Talk’ below.

Nevertheless, ‘Knife Talk’ has become one of the biggest records by the Toronto superstar and has amassed over 485 million streams on Spotify alone ever since its release. The track peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 Album Chart at the time and made way for Drake & 21 Savage’s multiple collaborative efforts including Tay Keith & Vinylz-produced ‘Jimmy Cooks’ and the highly successful LP ‘Her Loss’.
