At the New York leg of ‘Out of this World’ Tour, AP Dhillon brought out Nas for a brief appearance. While the legendary NY emcee didn’t drop bars at AP’s live set, he sure gave the Punjabi R&B and Pop superstar his flowers.
“Let me say somethin’, I represent New York City… and I have come out to see the newest, greatest artist in the motherf*king world” Nas said to a massive crowd at Hammerstein Ballroom, New York City.
Nas has been ruthlessly expanding his ‘Mass Appeal’ imprint across the world.
Home to some of the finest emcees from the U.S. including Run the Jewels, Dave East and Killer Mike, the label made its way to India and signed Gully Gang’s bossman and critically acclaimed emcee Divine on its roster. The rapper is slated to drop his highly anticipated third studio album ‘Gunehgar’ in November.
Nas has also teased that a new AP Dhillon x Mass Appeal project might be in the works as well. If that happens, it would be the first for Dhillon, who has been releasing music through his own label ‘Run-up Records’, to join forces with a label of Mass Appeal’s stature. The possibility of the Punjabi hip-hop superstar levelling up even further from here can not be ruled out.
