Atlanta’s rap superstar Playboi Carti and Canadian R&B singer The Weeknd have premiered a massive music video for their latest collaboration “Timeless”. Directed by marquee American filmmakers Gunner Stahl and LouieKnows, the gloomy cut captures Carti and the “All To Myself” singer flexing their self-absorbing tendencies.
For the infamous “Carnival” rapper and the XO affiliate, the cut arrives amidst high anticipation for their forthcoming projects “I Am Music” and “Hurry Up Tomorrow” respectively.
The Weeknd first previewed the “Timeless” cut via a still on his Instagram just before releasing the single. In March this year, Weeknd and Carti linked up with Stahl for the massive “Type Shit” visual treatment too.

For Carti, the single paves the way for his much-awaited studio album.
After a long hiatus of nearly four years, the rapper has released seven singles this year including “All Red” via A$ap Rocky‘s AWGE and Interscope, “Ketamine”, “EvilJ0rdan”, “BACKR00MS” featuring Travis Scott, “H00DBYAIR”, Kanye West-produced “2024” and “Different Day/Ur The Moon”.
Besides his “timeless” collaboration with The Weeknd, Carti is rumoured to be working on a debut rap record with Kendrick Lamar.
However, Carti is yet to confirm whether these singles will feature on his forthcoming LP “I Am Music”.
