Post Malone Announces Fifth Album ‘Austin’, Drops Second Lead Single ‘Mourning’ This Friday

New York’s revered Hip-Hop superstar Post Malone has announced his long-awaited 5th record. Titled “Austin”, the upcoming album is slated to serve as the follow-up to the star-studded “Twelve Carat Toothache” LP featuring guest appearances from Roddy Ricch, Gunna, Doja Cat, Fleet Foxes, The Weeknd and the Kid Laroi.

Posty took to Instagram to reveal that his self-titled LP will release on July 28th 2023. Notably, Malone’s most recent single “Chemical” will appear on the album. Besides the much-anticipated album announcement, the “Stoney” emcee and record producer has revealed that the second lead single from the LP “Mourning” drops this Friday.

Owing to his last single, which saw Malone foraying into pop rock, “Austin” will supposedly be a genre-bending versatile sound from the rapper. Malone, who started his career with hard-hitting rap records including “White Iverson”, “Too Young”, “Boy Bandz” and more, has often times produced and released alternative rap records.

“This whole deal has been one of the most challenging, rewarding, and exciting records I’ve worked on. I feel it captures who I am as a man and as an artist at this moment. thank y’all so much for your patience, and thank you for being there with me in my hardest times. I love y’all so much and am ready to fucking party with y’all. Cheers, and keep spreading love,” Malone said about the album via Twitter.

Since releasing his fourth album “Twelve Carat Toothache”, Malone has been touring across the globe. In December last year, the “Rich & Sad” emcee made his far-reaching live debut in India.

During a hard-hitting live set, Posty performed several of his NY rap classics including “Rockstar” featuring London-born Atlanta-based emcee 21 Savage, “Cooped Up” featuring Compton’s “Feed Tha Streets III” emcee Roddy Ricch, “Congratulations” featuring ATL’s Quavo, “Better Now”, “White Iverson”, “Wow” and more in Mumbai.
