The iconic ‘Bring it Home’ Punjabi emcee Fateh Doe has teased a collaborative effort with Raftaar. In an Instagram story shared by Fateh earlier today, Raftaar was seen giving out some details about the upcoming collaboration. The Mumbai-based hitmaker asked Fateh to drop 16 bars over a track and further went on to say that he certainly wouldn’t mind more.

Notably, a Raftaar and Fateh Doe collaboration has been very rare. Most recently, the veteran artists, who are often credited with being one of the earliest Indian rappers, came together for Catch Up – the second record on Fateh’s 2020 LP ‘Goes Without Saying’. A collaboration now will be the second such effort in almost thirteen years.

Raftaar is one of the finest emcees in India. With a career spanning over thirteen years, the Delhi-based veteran rapper – real name Dilin Nair – joined hands with Hip-Hop legends including Yo Yo Honey Singh, Badshah and Ikka to give birth to modern Indian rap through their consortium ‘Mafia Mundeer’. The group had later parted ways but their music turned rap into one of the biggest genres in India.

Recently, Raftaar released the ‘Hard Drive Vol. 1’ EP on his 34th birthday. The EP, which features guest-appearances by Badshah on ‘RAASHAH’, Kr$na on ‘NO CHINA’, Karma on ’36’ and Sikander Kahlon on ‘F16’ , was one massive Indian rap project that no one saw coming.

Fateh Doe is a Bangkok-born Toronto-bred hip/hop veteran who is recognized for his smooth choppy flows and top-notch bars in Punjabi and English. His wide-ranging discography includes five studio albums – Bring It Home (2016), To Whom It May Concern (2018), New Memories (2019), Goes Without Saying (2020) and Hate That I Love You (2022) – and one collaborative project with Straight Bank titled ‘Long Story Short’.
