Maryland’s iconic emcee J. Stone, born James Jenkins, has premiered his sixth studio album “The Definition of Success”.
The “Rollin’ 60s Neighbourhood Crips” affiliate, which is a sub-group of Crenshaw’s larger street gang Crips, has reportedly linked up with “All Money in, No Money Out” founder and labelmate Nipsey Hussle, veteran rappers Bun B, Trae Tha Truth and Xzibit, Butch Cassidy and Harlem’s marquee rapper & Nas‘ prodigy Dave East.
A West Coast rap mogul, Hussle was shot dead by Eric Holder in 2019 and left an unprecedented impact on Hip-Hop across the globe. On J Stone’s album, Hussle appears on “Foundation” produced by American superproducer Hit-Boy.
Besides Hussle’s posthumous verse, Stone’s LP is home to 16 more provocative song titles including “Black Sheep” featuring Xzibit & Butch Cassidy, “Levels” featuring Bun B & Trae Tha Truth, “Rich Roll” featuring Dave East & Symphony Green, “Proud of Me”, “365”, “I’ll Be Hood” & more.
