Punjabi Hip-Hop’s global superstar the late Sidhu Moosewala is the fifth most streamed rapper in the world. Rap’s leading publication ‘Hip Hop By The Numbers’, which publishes notable statistics about global rap and the United States has confirmed that Moosewala’s rap records were streamed more than four billion times in 2022.
The legendary ‘295’ emcee and songwriter surpassed Champagne Papi, popularly known as Drake, by a massive 1.2 Billion streams. As per the report, Drake was streamed over 2.9 billion times. Latin rap superstar Bad Bunny topped the list with a massive 14.7 Billion streams followed by Annuel AA with 5 Billion streams.

The legendary Punjabi Hip-Hop superstar Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead by unidentified gunmen on May 29th 2022. Ever since then, Indian Hip-Hop has consistently mourned his loss numerous times. Considered by many as the most influential figures in Indian rap, Moosewala was behind classic Indian rap records such as ‘Moosetape’, ‘PBX1’ and ‘No Name’ EP.
