SZA – real name Imani Rowe – has released her latest single ‘Shirt’ with Top Dawg Entertainment and RCA.
The single is produced by Rodney Jerkins. Also known as ‘Darkchild’, New Jersey-based Jerkins has produced for Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce in the past.
Last week, SZA had revealed that she has an unreleased catalogue of almost 100 songs with her and that they could be out “any day”. If true, it’ll be her first studio album in five years and second overall. SZA’s debut studio album ‘Ctrl’ – which fratured guest appeareances from Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar & Isaiah Rashad – debuted at no. 3 on the Billboard Top 200 upon its release.
The music video, directed by Dave Myers, features LaKeith Stanfield – the actor known for his role in Donald Grover’s Atlanta.
