Tamilian rap royalty Arivu, born Arivarasu Kalainesan, has ended his 5-year hiatus with a sophomore rap LP. Titled “Valliamma Peraandi – Vol. 1”, the 12-track LP serves as the follow-up to his breakthrough debut record “Therukural” and features guest verses by Rashmeet Kaur, QUAZI MODE, Preetesh Harji, West London rapper & singer Alewya, Gana Balachandar & more.
Arivu’s massive LP traverses various southern heaters including the Tamilian street rap classic “Local Jackson”, the cinematic “Saarbaag” alongside the “Vaathi Coming” rapper Balanchandar, “Brother Bigson Mandela” and a flagrant British drill record “Thodaadha”.

Arivu is yet to share any visual treatments from the album. The LP is released via Sony Music.
“Valiamma Peraandi – Vol. 1” arrives amidst a slew of top-tier Southern rap records this summer.
Most recently, Bengaluru’s Hanumankind returned with his flagrant single “Big Dawgs” with Def Jam Recordings India. It was preceded by Mass Appeal India‘s exclusive signee & “Kaayi” rapper Baby Jean releasing his major label debut “Padachatta” and major label releases “Manka” and “Kadha” by Dabzee & Vedan respectively.
