Indian rap music is mired by concerns as Indian emcee and entrepreneur Emiway Bantai, born Bilal Shaikh, is gearing up for his next diss track “Represent”. Infamous for his lethal diss records against Kr$na and Raftaar in the past, Bantai is rumoured to drop vicious heat against King & MC Stan on the forthcoming record.

While Bantai is yet to reveal any further details about “Represent”, including its release date, the single is rumoured to call out King for his recent appearance at the Cannes Festival and mock his interview with Brut India.

Notably, King himself dismissed his accent on the Cannes red carpet and reiterated his discomfort with English since it isn’t his native language.

Besides “Represent”, Bantai released the “Independent” single earlier this summer. The flagrant 4-minute cut aimed at King’s comments on an artist’s independence and label relations which didn’t sit well with the “King of The Streets” rapper.

Besides “Independent” and the rumoured diss record now, Bantai dissed King & Stan after the rappers joined forces on “F-ck What They Say”.

The “Whole Heartedly” emcee responded to the rappers’ subliminals with an Instagram image whose caption read “Flush What They Say”.

After his massive album launch concert in Delhi, King joined Culture Haze for an exclusive interview.

Across the 12-minute sitdown, the top-tier “Monopoly Moves” emcee opens up about the trailblazing studio album, addresses criticism and reflects on his globetrotting rise to prominence in Indian music.

King further expresses his deeply personal views about the slain Punjabi artist Sidhu Moose Wala and urges rappers to make music which inspires people as much as it entertains.

You can watch our exclusive interview with King below.
