Top Dawg Entertainment’s REASON has previewed new music with the iconic Palm Springs, California-based producer Tariq Beats earlier today. The preview showcases REASON driving around his neighbourhood in a Mercedes G-Wagon at “3:06 A.M.”
While REASON hasn’t revealed any further details about the single yet, he went on his Instagram to ask the fans if he should drop it. “Thoughts?” the Carson, California-based emcee and lyricist captioned the post.
“The greatest label doing this shit, Top Dawg Entertainment n****”, REASON starts off the record.
“Long stares on them open roads / Sleep but making bread that’s coma toast / Heard some shit that n**** said he’d do but I know he won’t / Same with the stuntin and ya career you done led us with / Bunch talkin and gloating about shit that you ain’t never did / Chances of me falling off is slimmer than cherry twigs / See the talk right by me about the n**** thats beside me / ignore it but know if it’s Reaz its Halle I come bury shit” the emcee raps further.
REASON rose to prominence with his TDE-studded full-length LP ‘New Beginnings’ which featured guest appearances from Vince Staples, JID, Isaiah Rashad, Ab-sould and Schoolboy Q. Released on 9th October, 2020, the record was a follow-up to ‘There You Have It’ LP released almost two years ago.
