One of the finest underground emcees from Punjab Tirath Sandhu, often referred to as Tricksingh, has released his latest rap record ‘5 AM in Punjab’. Produced by Zsanj, the record clocks in at just over three minutes and serves as the follow-up to the hard-hitting ‘Desh Ki Awaaz’ released earlier this year.
Notably, this is Singh’s fifth single which is a rather “melodic track”. The track marks an abrupt departure from his moshpit-ready bangers which are at the core of his brief yet affecting discography. However, ‘5 AM in Punjab’ doesn’t disappoint at all and establishes the young emcee’s stature as one of the most gifted rappers of his generation.
Besides releasing the exclusive audio across DSPs, Tricksingh previewed a short film on his social media as well. Whether an official visual treatment for the single is in the works remains to be seen. Check out the short film here if you haven’t yet.
