Toronto’s rap mogul and October’s Very Own affiliate Drake, born Aubrey Graham, has jumped on a “Hey There Delilah” remix titled “Wah Gwan Delilah”. The track, originally composed and performed by the Plain White T’s, is released via Soundcloud by underground rapper Snowd4y.
Mired by excessive autotune and allegedly slated to be a humorous stint by Drake, the track has left Toronto and even global rap in disarray. Within minutes after the “U My Everything” rapper confirmed his guest appearance on Snowd4y’s remix, rap fans stormed Twitter & Instagram voicing their opinions on Drake’s verse.
Notably, Drake’s feature on “Wah Gwan Delilah” arrives within days after his flagrant rap feud with Compton’s legendary emcee & songwriter Kendrick Lamar.
“this might be the worst song of all time,” a user wrote on Instagram reacting to Drake’s latest record.
Another fan even alluded to Drake’s beef with Kendrick Lamar and suggested that the fierce rap rivalry has turned Drake into a “Soundcloud rapper”.
In other news, Compton’s fallen emcee & songwriter Roddy Ricch is gearing up for his massive comeback.
Most Recently, “The Box” rapper joined forces with superproducer Turbo The Great on “Survivor’s Remorse”. The cathartic single serves as the lead single from his third studio album “The Navy Album”.
