Southern India’s influential emcee Thirumali, born Vishnu MS, has just announced his forthcoming single with the coveted record label Def Jam Recordings India. Titled “Sambar”, the single is produced by Thudwiser and features further guest verses by Mass Appeal India affiliate Dabzee and Fejo.
Notably, “Sambar” will mark Thirumali’s sophomore rap record with Def Jam. In September this year, the flagrant Malayali emcee linked up with Southside’s superproducer Parimal Shais, Bengaluru’s rap royalty Hanumankind and underground rapper MC Couper on “Ayyayyo”.
Ahead of the single, Thirumali shared the exclusive “Sambar” artwork and an alleged preview with his fans via Meta. Check it out below.
For Def Jam Recordings India, the massive announcement arrives within days after the marquee label linked up with Raga and DG Immortals on “Kheench Maari”. Released last week, the lethal rap record serves as the lead single to Raga & DG’s forthcoming EP “Midtown Madness”.
Most recently, Dabzee premiered the “Cease Fire Now” single. The Malayali rapper is yet to make his Mass Appeal debut.
